Zebra Corporation Contacts Inventor

United Patent Research client, George G., received a signed confidentiality agreement from the Zebra Corporation promising to hold in confidence any invention information provided by the inventor. In March of this year, representatives from United Patent Research and UPR’s licensing affiliate, Universal Licensing, met with a representative of Zebra, Mr. Scott Pyle, at a trade show in Chicago. Since then communication has continued with Zebra regarding George’s invention, Sensor Pill Topper (SPT). Universal Licensing will be providing guidance to George regarding further contact activities with Zebra.

Manufacturer Offers to Produce “Scrubs”

Renee B., inventor of Scrubs, has received an offer from a manufacturer to have a prototype made and saleable units produced for a percentage of the sale price of each unit. Renee, a United Patent Research client, is working with UPR’s licensing affiliate, Universal Licensing, regarding the details of a possible licensing arrangement with this interested manufacturer.

Manufacturers Sign Non-Disclosure Agreements

Solutions Plus and Haleematex have signed Confidential Disclosure agreements regarding the invention Scrubs, invented by United Patent Research client Renee B. The licensing/marketing affiliate of UPR, Universal Licensing, will be advising Renee regarding the appropriate actions to take in dealing with these companies.

In addition, another United Patent Research client, Lisa E., has received a signed confidentiality agreement from the Southern Champion Tray Company. Lisa will be receiving the advice and guidance of UPR’s licensing affiliate, Universal Licensing, regarding the proper steps to take in dealing with this interested company.

European Design Patent Approved!

United Patent Research client, Mark F., has been issued a Certificate of Registration by the European Patent Office regarding his invention, Music Hands. This official approval of Mark’s European Design Patent application is a step forward in his efforts to achieve commercial success for Music Hands – an innovative electronic device designed to enable an individual, or a group, to produce music without the use of keyboards or actual musical instruments.

The Handy Dandy Tray Receives Manufacturer Interest

United Patent Research client, Lisa E., has received manufacturer interest in her novel food tray, The Handy Dandy Tray. Southern Champion Tray, LP communicated to Lisa that they are interested in reviewing information regarding her patented tray concept in order to determine if her invention would fit into their product line. It should be noted that Lisa received this positive manufacturer response after following the steps recommended by United Patent Research and the licensing affiliate of UPR, Universal Licensing.

European Design Patents Filed

United Patent Research has been notified by the European Patent Office that European patent applications have been filed for UPR clients, Cynthia Q., inventor of Easy Find; and, Caroline S., inventor of Snug-Ease. These inventors are hopeful that attaining intellectual property protection in the expanding European marketplace will provide a significant advantage in the commercialization of their inventions.

United Patent Research client, Lisa E., will be in contact with United Patent Research’s licensing affiliate, Universal Licensing, regarding initial manufacturer interest in her invention. Lisa’s invention is the Handy Dandy Carrier – a unique beverage carrier designed to transport both hot and cold beverages along with the accompanying condiments.

Patent Applications Approved for Multiple UPR Clients

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has sent notifications that the patent applications of three United Patent Research clients have been approved after thorough review by the patent examiners. United Patent Research has received Notice(s) of Allowance for Jeremy and Amanda K., inventors of the A.R.K. Systems; Ernest C., inventor of The Piggy Back Charger (Telephone Charger), and Peter and Judith E., inventors of the E-Z Stor-Drawer. These inventors should be receiving their official patent certificates later this summer. The inventors are hopeful that the attainment of patent status in the United States will significantly enhance the market potential of their inventions.

The China Patent Office has notified United Patent Research that client, Kenneth D., will soon be receiving the official China Patent Certificate regarding his invention, Klean Deck.
